Important notice regarding donations made to Metrobank Confirmation of Payee Scheme

Since March 2020, Confirmation of Payee (COP) has been a regulatory requirement for the six largest UK banks (Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds Banking Group, Nationwide Building Society, Royal Bank of Scotland Group and Santander UK). Metro Bank was not required to join and has not yet signed up.

As a result, when making online payments to Metro Bank from the banks listed above, you may see a warning that they are unable to check and verify the bank account details. We would like to reassure you that our bank details given above are correct, and the warning message appears only because Metro do not have the software to enable the COP function.

We greatly value your trust in Facing the World and are truly thankful for your generosity. We apologise for any inconvenience or doubt this situation might cause. We have petitioned Metrobank to resolve this issue as soon as possible, but unfortunately it is something that is beyond our control.
