Without your donations, fundraising efforts or volunteering, we would not be able to offer these children the opportunity of having the future they deserve.
From one-off donors to those who choose to make regular donations, your support is what makes it possible for us to give these very special children the chance to smile.
We are members of the Fundraising Standards Board (FRSB) self-regulatory scheme. The FRSB works to ensure that organisations raising money for charity from the public do so honestly and properly. A copy of our fundraising promise can be found here. If you are unhappy with any aspect of our fundraising, please contact us. We have a complaints procedure in place, a copy of which is available on request. The FRSB can be contacted directly as an additional route to resolution.
How you can fundraise for Facing the World
There is a huge range of fundraising possibilities to choose from, from hosting a coffee morning or holding a garage sale to challenging yourself and your friends or colleagues to braving a triathlon – or perhaps you would like to hold an event, such as a fashion show or a quiz night. There are ways that your school or company can support Facing the World too.
Publicise your event
Set up an online fundraising page, an easy way to spread the word about your event and collect donations all in one place. Guests to your page can also leave personalised comments to help spur you on! You can also publicise your event on Facebook or Twitter by creating an event page or sharing the link to your fundraising page.
If you need help with organising your event please contact us on 020 7351 7832, or email us at email@example.com. We would be delighted to hear from you.
Weddings and birthdays
Some people choose to donate to charity rather than receive gifts at times of celebration such as weddings and birthdays. If you are thinking of hosting a fundraiser, we would love to help in any way we can so please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Schools and Facing the World
We are always happy to hear from schools, students and teachers who would like to do something to support us. If we can help in any way, please contact us on 020 7351 7832, or email us at email@example.com.
Ebay for Charity
Sell your unwanted possessions through eBay for Charity, and donate your chosen percentage of the proceeds.
As an eBay for Charity seller you can donate anywhere between 10 percent and 100 percent of your sales to Facing the World. See eBay for more information.
Don’t forget to nominate Facing the World as your beneficiary charity when you list your items. Then select the eBay for Charity box to set what percentage of the sale price you would like to donate to Facing the World and start selling today.
Give while you shop!
Now you can support Facing the World as you shop with popular retailers online, through Giving a Bit at no extra cost to yourself. Hundreds of popular retail brands, including John Lewis, Amazon, Selfridges and Marks & Spencer have signed up with Giving a Bit, the free service that helps you support your favourite charity just by signing up and purchasing items from the brands’ own online retail sites via the Giving A Bit website. A stated percentage of the total purchase price is then sent to your chosen charity.
It is free to customers as Giving A Bit’s retail partners pay the service a commission every time a customer accesses their sites via Giving a Bit and then purchases something. This commission sum is given to the chosen charity.
